Hi! My name's Adeline. I am a Senior at UT Chattanooga majoring in Business Management. I earned an Associates degree in Management and Plant and Soil Sciences from Columbia State Community College before transferring to UTC. I chose Chattanooga because of the community. I love hiking, camping, and spending as much time outside as I can. Since transferring I have gotten super involved on campus and now I am a member of 2 clubs, on the Dean's Advisory Board, and RA for the Business RLC. I've enjoyed watching this club grow and I am so excited to pass what we've made onto the next group of motivated students.

DR. ANDREA NEELY

Society Advisor

Hi, I am Dr. Neely. I am an Assistant Professor in Management at Rollins College of Business at UTC. I am originally from Cookeville, TN. I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Tennessee Technological University and PhD from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I live in Chattanooga with my husband, son, and tiny dog. I love tacos (no Taco Bell please), BBQ (I prefer Texas BBQ – where’s the brisket?), and want to be outdoorsy (I am not yet, but I aspire to be). I love helping my students and making them laugh.

I really enjoy being the SAM club advisor as it gives me an opportunity to serve my students. We’re fortunate to have awesome club leaders who work well as a team to accomplish our goals. In this first year, 2021-2022, our leaders have exceeded my expectations: we’ve had 10+ members, competed in the SAM conference case competition, and completed volunteer projects. They’re also extremely innovative. Isabelle, our current president, decided to make t-shirts for us in the Hatch It lab for the officers working the Rollins Day event (we had no SAM shirts). Terry, Himani, and I learned how to make shirts and buttons too. Terry has organized volunteer projects and helped to prep us for the case competition. Himani has helped design and order SWAG. Our newest leader, Addy, has helped us create this website and all our social media outlets as well as make new flyers.

Based on all their accomplishments, I am excited to see what the upcoming year brings. My passion is that my students succeed and SAM club helps them do that through social networking with business leaders and real-world applications for what they’re learning in classes (e.g., guest speakers, conference attendance, & case competition) as well as community involvement (e.g., volunteer projects). You should join us!
